We started cleaning Kitchen Exhaust Systems in 1999 as an addition to our regular cleaning services. We clean all areas of the Kitchen Exhaust System to code as per NFPA # 96 Standards.
Some of these codes are as follow:
* All areas of the exhaust system will be cleaned to point where the metal is clearly visible (bare metal). (NFPA # 96 8-3.1)
* After the job, any areas not cleaned to bare metal will be noted, with an explanation in writing. (NFPA #96 8-3.1.2)
* No toxic, flammable solvents or other flammable cleaning aids will be used. ( NFPA #96 8-3.2)
* All gas and electrical switches and controls, which could be accidentally activated during the cleaning process, will be locked out. NFPA #96 8-3.3)
* The fire suppression system will not be locked out during the cleaning process. (NFPA #96 8-3.4)
* Fire suppression links and cables shall be gently cleaned; no chemical residues shall be left on them. (NFPA #96 8-3.5)
* All fire suppression pipes, dampers, access panels and other switches and controls shall be returned to their original position. (NFPA #96 4-3, 8-3.6)
* Any access panels installed must be in accordance with NFPA #96 ed. 1998 (section 4-3).
* Waste and debris must be captured and processed according to local waste water by-laws. Waste water should not be allowed to enter the storm drainage system unless acceptable to local jurisdiction.
* Any deficiencies MUST be reported on the After-Service Follow Up Report.
* All access must be opened and proper gasketing will be used when reinstalling access panels. All access panels must be properly secured. If below the roof line all panels will be UL listed and approved for use on fire rated systems.
In addition, we will maintain security during and after the work is completed and while the crew is on premises if needed. Any equipment moved during the cleaning process will be returned to its location and operational state. All kitchen equipment will be adequately protected and covered. No refrigerator or computer terminal outlets will be unplugged or used. All floors, walls and other areas affected by the cleaning process will be cleaned up afterwards.
We are members of PWNA (Pressure Washers of North America) and our men take the Certification training under Phil Ackland; North America's Official Grease Guru. We use the current code compliance methods of cleaning systems. Expect a completely clean system in all accessible areas. If you don't have accessible areas we will make them using UL Listed and Approved duct doors with no inner protrusions as per code.
We now are able to offer our clientele a combination of services and excel in Kitchen Exhaust Cleaning . We clean it right.
Make no mistake- when you hire us you can rest assured that the job is being done correctly and in a manner that is professional and fully guaranteed by our E&O insurance
